Chica Beast!!!!

Ok, so I went into the den to try to see where Chica was. She wasn't in the Chica chair, chica bowl or anywhere else in the den for that matter. So then I figured she was in her crate. Not in the crate. At this point I'm wondering where she is. Well, so I called her name and heard a ruffle from the bed. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. She's a chica beast!!!! hehehehehehehehe

Luigi's Italian Ice!!! The strawberry is better, but the lemon is nice now and then! Found at your neighborhood Walmart for like $2.50ish It's fat free goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm hooked!!!!

Outside flower bed

Ok, so I think the gardening at the ZacSmith home is complete. I can't think of any other area to put a bed at this point, and sure don't have the strength. PG and I completed the final bed this past weekend in about 5 hours. Man, where does the time go?! Anyhow, it turned out so nice! I'm callin' it HGTV quality! hehehehehehe

Ben and Jerry's

Ok, so the PG and the MB are trying to get into wedding shape. So we're working out last night and I decide that I wanted a smoothie, so off to Ben and Jerry's, where they are fat free. I'm sure loaded with sugar, but they're darn good!!!

Anyhow, here is how the conversation somewhat went in there....

Mike: (Orders his smoothie) - Man, I can't wait to dig into that!!!

Jen: (Looking around at the ice cream, trying to stay away from the HBs in there)

Ben and Jerry's worker: Can I help you guys with anything else?

Mike: You sure you don't want anything?? Even a taste of something??

Jen: (without hesitation) I'll take a small cup of the cake batter ice cream!!!

Mike: (in total shock) WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She tore through that cup before we even made it home!!!

PG lovin' her some ice cream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New Gardening Pics

Attached are some new landscaping pics of the new flower bed I put together last weekend. I gotta tell you that digging holes for those shrubs was a pain in the butt! The soil here is so "CLAY"-like. It's awful! It's like trying to dig through concrete at times!!!! I also added a couple solar lights (one in each bed) to put out a soft glow at night. I hope you guys enjoy the pics! The backyard is really starting to come into form.

Jen's dad also brought us over the grill he got for Jen for her b-day (early b-day gift) tonight. We weren't able to take pictures of it as it was dark outside. More pics will follow with the complete patio. It looks GREAT!!! We can't wait to make some hot dogs (burnt ones for Jen, of course).

Gardening

Well, I took the day off to work on the backyard and relax. After waking up feeling like crap, and spending a few hours relaxing, I decided to still do what I had planned as it was the reason behind taking the day off.

I ended up filling in some low points in the backyard with some top soil to try to level it off. The big project was a new flower bed I put in right next to the back porch. The two shrubs in the corner by the gutters were already there when it was a small bed. I added the 4 indian hawthornes and big stone, adding additional border stones as well. You'll also notice that I gutted up the dead grass in that area as well. My plan of action is to start another bed along the fence that stretches along the entire side fence, making for a curved entrance to the backyard. I think that will really make it look nice and will make sitting on the back patio really nice!!!! For that project, I'm certainly gonna solicit the help of a certain PG!!!! :)
