Chica Shirt

Ok, so Jen and I got back from our WONDERFUL honeymoon!!! We have ga-zillion pics and stories, much of which we've already shared with our friends. Well, after we got back and visited our folks, my folks gave us this t-shirt for Chica that they found at Target. It's extremely funny and ironic that it says Cabos on it, being that's where we went!

Anyhow, attached are some pics of Chica showing off her new outfit! She loves the thing! Everytime I show it to her, she comes and sits by me and lets me put it on her like a kid! Funny dog!

Chica Beast!!!!

Ok, so I went into the den to try to see where Chica was. She wasn't in the Chica chair, chica bowl or anywhere else in the den for that matter. So then I figured she was in her crate. Not in the crate. At this point I'm wondering where she is. Well, so I called her name and heard a ruffle from the bed. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. She's a chica beast!!!! hehehehehehehehe

Outside flower bed

Ok, so I think the gardening at the ZacSmith home is complete. I can't think of any other area to put a bed at this point, and sure don't have the strength. PG and I completed the final bed this past weekend in about 5 hours. Man, where does the time go?! Anyhow, it turned out so nice! I'm callin' it HGTV quality! hehehehehehe

Ben and Jerry's

Ok, so the PG and the MB are trying to get into wedding shape. So we're working out last night and I decide that I wanted a smoothie, so off to Ben and Jerry's, where they are fat free. I'm sure loaded with sugar, but they're darn good!!!

Anyhow, here is how the conversation somewhat went in there....

Mike: (Orders his smoothie) - Man, I can't wait to dig into that!!!

Jen: (Looking around at the ice cream, trying to stay away from the HBs in there)

Ben and Jerry's worker: Can I help you guys with anything else?

Mike: You sure you don't want anything?? Even a taste of something??

Jen: (without hesitation) I'll take a small cup of the cake batter ice cream!!!

Mike: (in total shock) WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She tore through that cup before we even made it home!!!

PG lovin' her some ice cream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New Gardening Pics

Attached are some new landscaping pics of the new flower bed I put together last weekend. I gotta tell you that digging holes for those shrubs was a pain in the butt! The soil here is so "CLAY"-like. It's awful! It's like trying to dig through concrete at times!!!! I also added a couple solar lights (one in each bed) to put out a soft glow at night. I hope you guys enjoy the pics! The backyard is really starting to come into form.

Jen's dad also brought us over the grill he got for Jen for her b-day (early b-day gift) tonight. We weren't able to take pictures of it as it was dark outside. More pics will follow with the complete patio. It looks GREAT!!! We can't wait to make some hot dogs (burnt ones for Jen, of course).

Gardening

Well, I took the day off to work on the backyard and relax. After waking up feeling like crap, and spending a few hours relaxing, I decided to still do what I had planned as it was the reason behind taking the day off.

I ended up filling in some low points in the backyard with some top soil to try to level it off. The big project was a new flower bed I put in right next to the back porch. The two shrubs in the corner by the gutters were already there when it was a small bed. I added the 4 indian hawthornes and big stone, adding additional border stones as well. You'll also notice that I gutted up the dead grass in that area as well. My plan of action is to start another bed along the fence that stretches along the entire side fence, making for a curved entrance to the backyard. I think that will really make it look nice and will make sitting on the back patio really nice!!!! For that project, I'm certainly gonna solicit the help of a certain PG!!!! :)

FROGS!!!

Here are the two new frogs I got for the front door. The "Welcome" frog is right by the front door, and the other tiny one is on top of the decorative rock. That small one is REALLY small!!!

Beef with the Food Industry

Ok, I got some BEEF to be had!!!!!

I got a "I can't believe it's not butter" spray somewhat recently. Probably have only used about 20% of it. Anyhow, the PG noticed that it said, "Sell by March 21, 2008". So, this put me into a tailspin as to what the food industry is trying to do to us.

Does this mean as long as I buy it before then, which I did, I can use it forever?? Does it mean it "expires" a few months after the sellby date? I wouldn't imagine people would by something on 3/21 and not be able to use it for a couple months at least?

Anyhow, anyone got input in this? Why couldn't it just say, "EXPIRES on XXX date"!!!!! All this "sell by", "best by", etc....

Leave it to the food industry to make things craazzzzzzy!!!!!!!!!!

Guitar Hero

Ok, so the days of playing video games all day/all night just don't work on the eyes anymore! I can barely do 1 hr of Guitar Hero and then things start to spin!!!! It's still such a fun game though!

I want to state though that I don't know if I'll really ever do much better than medium. I've dabbled in the "hard" level briefly, but it is really tough! How do these people do the expert?!?! Try "youtubeing" Guitar Hero and see the video's people have posted. My GOSH!!!!!

Weekend Gardening

This past weekend Jen and I got our gardening ON!!!! Below are some pictures of some of the upgrades we made to the existing flower beds! The biggest change was along the garage, where we ripped out the liriope and replaced with Hawthorne's and Marigold's!!!

It was funny cuz Jen was cold so she stood against the brick wall in the sun like a lizard!!! hehehehehehehehe......................
